A Quick Hello Over a Platter of Fish Tacos

May 1st, 2025

We’re Enjoying a Quick Break

Last week, as a celebration of sustainability, I shared the story of Bob Kallenberg, grandfather to my husband Arron (WAC founder + CEO) and a visionary Alaskan leader who laid much of the foundation for the sustainable fishing practices that define Alaska today. I’m in the midst of writing next week’s newsletter, which celebrates Walt Kallenberg, Arron’s father, whose steadfast commitment to fishing — built upon the foundation of sustainability set by his father — ensured that the Kallenbergs were on course to build a multigenerational Alaskan legacy.

This week though, both Arron and I are relishing a little break from work to enjoy extra time off with our children. (Which, as the above family photo suggests, naturally involves me making an extra special batch of coconut fish tacos for us to enjoy together.)

Hope you get a chance to read through Bob’s incredible story, linked above. Until next week!

Live Wild,

Monica
