How to Broil Pacific Halibut Quick Cuts

A Fast, Flavorful Preparation of Fish for Tacos, Bowls, and More

Broiled Pacific Halibut Quick Cuts are a fast, flavorful preparation of fish that you can enjoy in under 10 minutes — perfect for enjoying as tacos, protein bowls, skewers and more. Since Pacific Halibut Quick Cuts are hand-cut portions of fish, there will be some size variation between the pieces. Because of this, we recommend marinating the fish first to help it broil more evenly. 

Try using Pacific Halibut Quick Cuts with a Mediterranean-inspired marinade or prepared with a sweet miso marinade.

  • Marinate the Pacific Halibut Quick Cuts to ensure even cooking.

  • Sufficiently preheat your broiler to ensure a quick, intense blast of heat. 

  • Keep a close eye on doneness.

How to Broil Pacific Halibut Quick Cuts

Ingredients

  • 1 (6 oz.) pack Pacific Halibut Quick Cuts
  • Marinade of choice
  • Extra-virgin olive oil (optional)

Instructions

1. Place Pacific Halibut Quick Cuts pieces in a resealable bag. Add marinade of choice to bag and massage over fish to fully coat. Leave to rest for at least 15 minutes, or longer as instructed by a recipe.

2. Arrange top rack in oven to be 4 to 6 inches from broiler element. Preheat broiler.

3. Remove fish from bag and shake of any excess marinade. If desired, brush the pieces of fish with a layer of olive oil. Arrange fish in a single layer on a baking sheet and place under broiler. Cook for 3 minutes, and then rotate pan and cook until parts of fish are nicely browned, about 1 to 3 more minutes.
