I love it when things line up with magical synchronicity — which is just how I feel about our newest offering: wild sockeye salmon burgers! I'm thrilled to say that these exquisite, ready-to-cook burger patties, made with a premium spice blend and no fillers or binders, launched earlier this week, only a handful of days before Mother's Day. And here's why I see this as deeply meaningful:
As a mother, there are certain things that I take very seriously — and top among those are the decisions around what and how I feed my family. For me, the nourishment of my children is a love language whose expression shows up as care, thoughtfulness, inquisitiveness, consistency, passion and whose end goal is — besides optimal nutrition — of course, pleasure. I want them to love what they eat, but equally, I want to love myself for being savvy enough to provide them with the best of the best.
My approach to feeding my little ones matches our approach to feeding our dear Wild Alaskan Company members in that my husband Arron (WAC's founder + CEO) and I would never sell a product that we wouldn’t feed to our children. When we started the company, of course, we had a million questions. But there was one thing that was always unequivocally certain: that the products we'd offer to our members would always, as a matter of both principle and duty, be of the highest quality. That we would apply as much thought, care, inquisitiveness and passion to our food offerings as that which we serve to our children. And that nourishing our members would be no different than nourishing our family.
For this reason, our new burger offering feels like so much more than just a burger. The love and meticulosity that went into crafting this product is a testament to the commitment that we made to our members, to our family, to the Kallenberg legacy, and to the mandate of quality that we gave ourselves when we set out on this path. As with all our offerings, to make this burger we firmly adhered to our ingredients, sourcing and environmental standards. The use of only six ingredients, the exclusion of all additives, oils or binders, and the fact that the patties are made from 100% wild Alaskan sockeye salmon and select spices were all considerations that we approached with equal parts rigor and reverence. The result is a sockeye salmon burger that is emblematic of what we're most proud to offer you — real food.
As we see it, food is love and the best kind of love is laden with time, effort, and attentiveness. With that, we sincerely hope you enjoy this salmon burger as much as we enjoyed the process of making it for you.
