Air frying is our preferred method for cooking salmon with teriyaki marinade as it readily enhances browning and crisp texture around the edges of the fish.  

Here’s how to bring out the best in every fillet of pre-marinated teriyaki salmon, whether you're cooking from thawed or frozen.

Air Frying Salmon With Teriyaki Glaze

*PREFERRED METHOD* The high heat locks in flavor and moisture while caramelizing the sauce for a glazy, delicious finish.

From Thawed

  1. Preheat air fryer to 380°F.

  2. Spray the basket or tray with cooking spray. Place the fillet skin-side down. Pour extra marinade over the top if desired.

  3. Air fry for 9 to 11 minutes, depending on thickness of fillet. Fish is done when it flakes easily and hits an internal temp of 145°F.

  4. Let rest for 1 minute before serving.

From Frozen

  1. Preheat air fryer to 390°F.

  2. Spray the basket or tray with cooking spray. Place the fillet skin-side down. Pour extra marinade over the top if desired.

  3. Air fry for 11 to 13 minutes, depending on thickness of fillet. Fish is done when it flakes easily and hits an internal temp of 145°F.

  4. Let rest for 1 minute before serving.

Baking Salmon With Teriyaki Glaze

Why bake teriyaki salmon? This gentle method brings out the rich flavor of the marinade while keeping the fillet juicy and tender.

From Thawed

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  2. Place fillet skin-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or prepared with cooking spray. Pour any reserved marinade over the fillet if desired.

  3. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until it reaches 135°F and flakes easily.

  4. Let rest before serving.

From Frozen

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

  2. Place fillet skin-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or prepared with cooking spray. Pour any reserved marinade over the fillet if desired.

  3. Bake for 15 to 17 minutes, until salmon reaches 135°F and flakes with a fork.

  4. Let rest before serving.

Broiling Salmon With Teriyaki Glaze

Why broil teriyaki salmon? Quick, direct heat crisps the edges and caramelizes the teriyaki glaze. Just keep an eye on it to avoid burning the marinade. Note: The marinade can burn on the pan and produce smoke — but don’t worry, the fish still turns out great.

From Thawed

  1. Preheat broiler to 500°F or highest setting.

  2. Prepare a broiler-safe dish with cooking spray, then arrange fillet skin-side down. Discard remaining marinade.

  3. Broil for 6 to 8 minutes, or until the salmon is 135°F and flakes easily.

  4. Let rest before serving.

From Frozen

  1. Preheat broiler to 500°F or highest setting.
    Prepare a broiler-safe dish with cooking spray, then arrange fillet skin-side down. Discard remaining marinade.

  2. Broil for 8 to 10 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.

  3. It’s done when the internal temp is 135°F and the fish flakes easily.
