Social Media Specialist

You’re that person who’s frequently able to respond with “I already took care of it.” As part of the Communications team, you’re responsible for helping us represent a consistent, thoughtful and personable brand voice through all social channels. And in the fast-paced, high volume eCommerce world, you’re right smack in the middle. The Growth team relies on you to keep up with all the chatter happening on our social ads, while Member Experience depends on your ability to help assist on inquiries that begin in the comments of our posts. But before colleagues can ask you for help, you’ll already have handled it.


CORE RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Ideate and write copy for posts, and lead the social publishing calendar for Facebook and Instagram, according to our comms strategy
  • Collaborate with the growth, member experience and supply chain teams to continuously ensure we are publishing posts that engage with our community, fall in line with our current seafood offerings
  • Act as a moderator and first responder for all comments on social ads and organic posts, as well as all posts in our Facebook Group
  • Analyze the performance of all organic social posts and iterate on our social strategy to ensure we consistently deliver content that resonates with our community
  • Stay up-to-date with all advancements to all existing social media platforms
  • Constantly think about and pitch ways in which we can engage communities in different ways on existing and new social platforms (e.g. we have yet to launch a Pinterest page)

QUALIFICATIONS


Requirements

  • 1+ years working in social media marketing
  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, journalism, media, communications, business or 4 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent written communication and relationship building skills
  • A deep understanding of Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, and how to communicate on each medium
  • A successful track record working in a high volume environment
  • Able to solve problems by thinking analytically and creatively
  • Familiar with the latest ecommerce and social media trends
  • Proficient in Google Docs and Sheets
  • A high attention to detail and appreciation for well-defined, organized business processes

Nice To Haves

  • Previous employment at an ecommerce, food company, creative agency and/or start-up
  • Working knowledge of AgoraPulse, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or Slack
  • Photography experience
  • Graphic design and/or HTML/CSS skills
  • Community management experience, either leisurely or professionally
  • Fluency in another language
  • Growth marketing, supply chain, operations or digital product (QA, Tech Support, etc.) experience
